The Community Building Leisure and Culture Administration consists of the strategic department, property department, building permit department, street/park operations department, meal service, cleaning service, and leisure and culture. We are about 170 employees who prepare and plan to realize the municipality's vision.

Sölvesborg Library is looking for substitutes for work year-round and during the summer. With us, the library is a rewarding and inspiring meeting place where people can access knowledge, culture, and community, and where you as an employee contribute to a welcoming library for all.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a substitute at Sölvesborg Library, you are an important part of the daily operations and the meeting with our visitors. The tasks are varied and may include:

• Staffing the information and loan desk and providing service and guidance to visitors.
• Assisting with loans, returns, and reservations of media.
• Providing basic support in using the library's digital services, such as computers, printers, and e-services.
• Handling and shelving media, signage, and basic order tasks.
• Assisting at our public events.
• Performing other recurring tasks in the library operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who enjoys meeting people and wants to contribute to an open and welcoming library. You are easy to collaborate with, responsible, and have a professional and service-oriented demeanor.

We see that you:

• have completed upper secondary education.
• have good communication skills and can express yourself well in Swedish verbally.
• are comfortable meeting visitors of different ages and life situations.
• have basic digital skills and can assist visitors with simple technical questions.
• are flexible and can work both independently and with colleagues.
• are meticulous, structured, and contribute to order in the library's premises.

It is an advantage if you have experience in service work or working with people.

The job involves many meetings with people of different ages and life situations. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is service-oriented, responsible, and has an interest in culture, literature, and social issues.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and the ability to contribute to the library's values, which are characterized by our desire to create an enriching and inspiring operation as well as a place for breaks and meetings.

A driving license (B) is required.
